The 1976 Corvette included multiple advancements in safety and driver comfort due to the tightening federal safety standards and customers searching for more comfort oriented sports cars. The front split chrome bumpers were replaced with polyurethane covers to hide the aluminum impact bar and brackets.
Engine & Drivetrain
This appears to be the original stock L48 350 cubic inch engine conservatively rated at 180 horsepower with an automatic as it left the factory. The engine compartment is fully detailed with the correct orange painted engine block, valve covers, and intake, factory carb, all the correct decals, hoses, wires, power steering, power brakes, Air Conditioning, and sitting in an engine compartment that is complete and nicely detailed.
When you look underneath at the chassis you will find it painted and detailed also with components replaced. New fat tires on custom period mag wheels fill out the wide-body fenders with 295-50-15s on the rear giving it the correct look and stance.
The undercarriage is very clean and appears that it was once undercoated. Correct factory Rallye steel wheels with chrome trim rings and caps are equipped with BF Goodrich Radial TA performance tires.
Interior
Our 1976 Corvette features individually adjustable, deep-pleated and black bucket seats with the dash that has an AM/FM radio with dual speakers, lighter and ashtray, speedometer, trip odometer and matching tach, and auxiliary instruments on a separate panel over the console include fuel, clock with sweep-second hand, oil pressure and amps, plus reminder lights for seat belts, door ajar and headlight doors.
It also has built-in armrests, an assist grip, matching rich color-keyed, deep-twist carpeting underfoot, lockable compartments, and a fully carpeted luggage space.
Exterior
Check out the fresh Flame Red paint job flowing over the classic lines of the Corvette Stingray body. It has a driver's side chrome mirror, side vents, power antennae, domed hood, great trim an stainless.
