1972 Chevrolet 402 Monte Carlo

We have a big block 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with the 402 engine and automatic transmission that has a super straight rust free body here at Adventure Classics. We believe it to be very rare.

Most personal luxury cars were not known to do smoky burnouts or run quick quarter-mile passes, but the 402 equipped Monte Carlo is plenty able nonetheless.

Our 1972 edition has the LS3 402 cubic inch engine that produced 300 rpm at 4,800 rpm and 400 ft-lb. of torque at 3,200 rpm. It appears to be all original from the factory black air cleaner, orange painted valve covers and cast iron intake, down to the cast iron exhaust manifolds leading out to the dual exhaust system with dual tips out the rear.

It is complete with Air Conditioning, Power Steering and brakes, and sits in a very correct, detailed and clean engine compartment.

Motor Trend tested a similar Monte Carlo with a 3.31:1 rear gear and produced a 0-60 MPH time of 7.1-second and 15.05-second quarter-mile time at 91.5 MPH.

Our Monte rides on 15 x 7-inch Rally wheels with Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires and has a tight suspension and is really fast.
The body has a great green paint job on its two-door hardtop is contrasted by the green vinyl top and very nice chrome and bright work.

It has a formal roofline and six-foot-long hood that adds to the image with 1972-only exterior touches including a rear horizontal bumper strip, and a color-keyed remote driver's mirror.

The white vinyl bench seat interior is nice and has the factory instrument panel with woodgrain trim, warning lamps, power steering, black sport steering wheel, white matching door panels, instrument control knobs and gauge/control backlight color, brown carpet, and floor mats.

Our 1972 Monte Carlo with the 402 engine and automatic transmission we have here at Adventure Classics is always ranked high on the short list of personal luxury cars with big block performance.

It is a classy looking car with all the luxury features you have become accustom to installed into this high-performance muscle car.
