Car History

I am a Corvette guy, and when I see a Corvette that has unusual options or even standard features that are uncommon, I take a second look.

That is the case with the 1967 Marlboro Maroon Chevrolet Corvette we have here at Adventure Classics for several reasons that we will describe below.

Engine & Drivetrain

Our Corvette not only has the original numbers matching 327 cubic inch V8 engine (see pics of stamping number on the block with the Vin # of our Corvette) but it also has the original 3-speed manual transmission that was standard equipment back then.

It is nicely detailed with factory correct bright Chevy Orange paint on the engine block, valve covers, and intake, chrome open element air cleaner, factory Ram's Horn exhaust manifolds leading down to the optional side-mount exhaust system, with the engine sitting in a clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment.

These 1967 Corvettes not only had great straight line performance but were equally at home handling curves as our Corvette does well with its period look and has been fitted with Cooper Cobra Radial GT white letter radial tires on Chevrolet Rallye Wheels with the chrome center caps and trim rings.

Interior

The factory correct look continues inside where you will see a black vinyl interior with twin bucket seats that are comfortable as well as stylish. The twin-cockpit design has all the factory gauges, a woodgrain Chevrolet 3-spoke steering wheel, black carpet, dash pad, and door panels, and a center console housing the chrome shifter and ball of that 3-speed manual transmission.

Exterior
Our Corvette wears a Code 988 Marlboro Maroon paint job that you may want to replace in the future to make it pristine, but it still has the stunning Sting Ray bodywork with the subtly bulging fenders, good chrome, iconic side vents, bright bumpers, and nicely polished stainless steel.

Conclusion

The 1967 Marlboro Maroon Chevrolet Corvette we have here at Adventure Classics is a great Corvette classic to own and enjoy as it will run and drive as it should with no disappointments.
It has the matching numbers drivetrain and rare 3-speed transmission too so it will always be a rare 1967 Corvette to collectors.
