1967 Red Chevrolet Camaro

Car History

The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared in Chevrolet dealerships in September 1966 for the 1967 model year on a brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and was available as a 2-door, 2+2 seat, hardtop or convertible, with the choice of either a straight-six or V8 engine.

The 1967 Camaro had almost 80 factory and 40 dealer options, including three main packages that were available, the RS, the SS and the Z/28.

We have a sinister looking bright 1967 black Chevrolet Camaro here at Adventure Classics that has been thru a complete restoration now runs and drives better than it did in the late 60's.

It even has the rare Rally Sport Option car with the Hide-Away Head Light package and has a potent engine to boot.

Engine & Drivetrain

Our Camaro has the right look, power to spare, and has all the upgrades to make it a powerful street cruiser. To start with it has a modified and built 350 cubic inch small block Chevy engine with an aluminum Z28 type intake, performance Holley carb, Chevrolet logo chrome valve covers and open Z28 style air cleaner, tube headers, modified MSD electronics, Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes, chrome pulleys, Vintage heat and air conditioning, and has a throaty rumble.

The engine sits in a very clean, correct, factory look engine compartment with an aluminum radiator, and is backed by a Muncie 4-speed transmission and a 3.73 Positraction rear end with Traction bars and frame connectors.

The upgraded suspension has a dual exhaust system exiting out the rear and it rides on factory Chevrolet Rallye Wheels with chrome trim rings and center caps and performance Red-line tires.

Interior

Our 1967 Camaro has an awesome factory look with its black bucket seat interior with a center console and chrome shifter, correct black door panels, headliner, and carpeting to have a fresh and correct OEM appearance.

It also has the three-spoke factory Chevrolet RS sport steering wheel, factory and accessory gauges, factory seat belts, and upgraded stereo AM/FM radio system.

The interior has all been re-done to appears as new and it does and all the gauges and controls work as they should too.

Exterior

This RS Camaro has a deep red finish that looks great with its black stripes across the functional cowl induction hood, RS badging on the grille and gas cap, “350” and RS front fender emblems, tinted windshield, dual mirrors, and rear spoiler.

Of course, the blacked-out Rally Sport grille with hidden headlights is an icon of the first generation Camaros. Our Camaro is one that everyone will love, and you will love it even more with all the performance that the small block under the hood and the rest of the replaced running gear to back up the looks.

Conclusion

This 1967 Camaro RS looks great, sounds great, and feels great, and has the right look. In our opinion, you can't find one that has had a complete, no-expense spared, frame off restored 1967 Camaro as nice as this one.
