Engine & Drivetrain

Under the hood is what looks to be the original 2.0-liter fuel injected engine which has a fantastic presentation with the engine block and head painted in red, Bosch fuel injection, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, and the rest of the Volvo parts looking as they did when it was made back in 1973.

The engine is mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive for easy cruising with a stock performance suspension that rides as well as most vintage sports cars, has four-wheel disc brakes, and rides on the factory mag wheels with chrome trim rings and caps, black sidewall performance tires, and is as comfortable a classic you'll ever drive.

Interior

The black interior looks terrific against the red exterior color. It has supple twin bucket seats with the matching side door panels and rear seat, carpeted cargo area with a spare tire and wheel under it, black factory three-spoke steering wheel, black factory dash with all the correct factory gauges, manual transmission shifter, pushbutton radio, air conditioning, and center console.

Exterior

Our 1973 Volvo P1800 Station Wagon shares European styling with everything from German and Italian automakers as it has its own intricate sheet metal and an Italian-inspired front end, but also has a flair all its own.

It also has huge rear glass on the rear sides which was the beginning of a Volvo hallmark and it is painted in a vivid eye-catching red paint that shows off the lines and makes it a true standout.

All the chrome, glass, mirror, and chrome front and rear bumpers is great and correct too.

Conclusion

This is a car that is iconic and one that you will be proud to drive and cruise in for years to come.
