Car History

The 1955 Chevrolet is considered a huge turning point for Chevrolet and has become an icon of the 1950's Chevrolets. The '55 Chevy was the first successful Chevrolet with an optional V8 engine. The new 265-cubic-inch overhead valve V8 was designed to be smaller, lighter, and more powerful than previous V8s in the auto industry.

We have a highly restored 1955 Chevy here at Adventure Classics that is stunning. Truly one of the best built cars we have ever had here. It has had a complete restoration from top to bottom with an upgraded small block Chevrolet engine, custom interior, and great two-tone Navy & Platinum paint job.

Engine & Drivetrain

When you open the hood you will see the iconic small block 350 cubic inch Chevrolet engine glistening in chrome!

It has so many performance and appearance items on it including chrome finned valve covers, chrome open element air cleaner, aluminum intake and 4-barrel Holley performance carb, chrome alternator, shiny tube headers leading back to dual exhaust, air conditioning, performance ignition and yellow spark plug wires, chrome power steering and brakes, performance fuel lines, and cooled by the Griffin radiator.

The engine pushes back the horsepower to the 3-speed automatic transmission that puts the power to the ground via the custom aftermarket chrome Ridler wheels with black sidewall Uniroyal performance tires making the ride great, fast, and safe.

The engine is installed in the very nice clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment.

Interior

The interior shows a similar level of restoration and shows as new with the two-tone Navy and White front bucket seats with the matching rear seat as well as the door panels and the headliner.

The smooth factory dash looks great as does all the factory gauges and controls with accessory gauges down below the dash, air conditioning, stereo radio, chrome tilt steering wheel column, factory steering wheel, column shifter, blue carpets, the engine turned dash, and blue carpets.

Exterior

Our 55 wears a beautiful and fresh looking custom two-tone Navy & Platinum paint job that looks amazing and offsets the interior while having great chrome and brightwork, chrome front and rear bumpers, and the jet-inspired hood ornament.

It is truly a show-stopper and guaranteed to grab the attention of everyone who sees it.

Conclusion

This restored 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air we have here at Adventure Classics has a great legacy, a great restoration, a great chrome adorned engine, and is a Tri-Five icon that looks even better than when it was new.
