If you are a Pontiac fan you know that 1987 was one of the last and best years for the Fiero. The 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT we have here at Adventure Classics has the V6 and is the ultimate option and GT body style to have. The aerodynamic body kit helped Pontiac's mid-engine machine look like a European sports car.
This one we have is an original owner with the correct low milage, it even still has the body numbers stamped on all the fenders to show no damage or replacements.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT comes with a 2.8 Liter V6 Multi-point fuel injection and a 5 speed manual transmission. The fuel-injected 2.8-liter V6 delivers great performance in the lightweight Fiero and looks great too with its bright red intake manifold and matching valve covers. This is an original engine and has the correct original looking engine components in the original looking engine compartment.
It hasn't been modified from factory original and the odometer only shows a tad over 45000 miles. The mid-engine placement works with the fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes to deliver a sporty driving experience that Pontiac wanted for its European GT type car.
Interior
Our Fiero does not sacrifice interior space like a lot of two-seat or other mid-engine European cars. The cloth bucket seats are comfortable, and the low mileage shows in the condition of the interior. It has a great center console, carpets, door panels, dash, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, and the original AM/FM/cassette stereo.
Exterior
This GT has a great factory correct Medium Metallic Red over gray paint as the silver lower portion gives this a sophisticated two-tone sporty scheme.
Our Pontiac has other great styling pieces like the hidden headlights, blacked-out rear, moon roof, engine cover, side styling windows, rear spoiler, dual exhaust with the tips coming out under the rear bumper, and the special Pontiac silver cross-lace wheels with performance black wall tires.
Conclusion
This is well preserved 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT we have here at Adventure Classic has been babied, has a near-perfect interior, great paint, super running and handling drivetrain, and is rare since it was only offered for a few years.
