f you're like me, you glanced at the photos and said to yourself, "Wow, what a pretty classic truck!" This 1951 Ford F-1 we have here at Adventure Classics has a classic look, but it's also been very tastefully upgraded to create an awesome resto-mod that gets everything right.
Engine & Drivetrain
Reliable power comes in the form of a small block Chevy V8 engine with the block, heads, and intake painted orange, with many modifications including the polished performance carb, chrome Edelbrock open-element air cleaner, chrome & painted valve covers, chrome air conditioning unit, chrome alternator, chrome plumbing, blue performance spark plug wires, headers, and a big radiator up front.
It also has a custom dual exhaust system sounds awesome and an automatic transmission that feeds a HD rear end and handsome chrome 5-spoke aftermarket 5-spoke wheels with black side wall tires.
Interior
The camel interior is really plush and accommodating with custom pleated matching bucket seats, matching center console and door panels, body painted dash with the factory gauges replaced with a beautiful set of whiteface gauges, a tan steering wheel, power windows, tan carpets, aftermarket stereo radio system, air conditioning, and the chrome T-handle automatic shifter in that center console.
Attention to detail matters and this Ford manages to create an old truck feel with an updated interior that doesn't feel antiquated.
Exterior
The soft brown paint on this truck looks great on the redesigned F-1 body panels. Some collectors will tell you that this is one of the best-looking trucks of all time, so they didn't try to reinvent it when this one was built, so it keeps a very authentic look.
The front end has a smooth looking bumper and grille that is still traditional while looking custom too. Finish quality is quite good, with clean bodywork and a nice shine to the paint.
The body and bed work together to create an iconic truck that will stand out everywhere it goes. The chrome trim on the truck is in excellent condition and we love the wood in the bed that that has a fantastic stain that contrasts nicely with the paint, a trick that gives the truck an upscale character.
