The 1984 Datsun 300ZX we have here at Adventure Classics is an attractive performance classic car with a great pedigree and looks sharp with its very pleasing factory correct silver paint job which still looks great.
It is a very fast car and a great cruising car that stops and corners great and is a very good handling car.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our 300ZX has the naturally aspirated dual overhead cam 3.0 L V6 with fuel-injection that has great power and revs easily and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, fully independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes.
Power steering is standard equipment with a new rack-and-pinion system and it has a sporty rear suspension and looks completely stock and factory original in the engine compartment.
Interior
The Z interior is great with many innovative options that are not on cars today. The two-tone grey twin bucket seats have great lumbar supports and is very comfortable to drive. The whole interior is really nice with the well thought out dash that has a full compliment of gauges including the tachometer, stereo radio system, center console housing the five-speed shifter, sports steering wheel, large speedo and tach, power windows, power locks, cruise control, grey carpets, and factory air conditioning.
Exterior
The paint scheme on the 300ZX is a great factory silver with full-length black trim down the sides, 14 inch six-spoke factory alloy wheels shod with black sidewall performance tires, and body-colored bumpers.
The fitment and finish is good as is the trim, glass, and overall appearance.
Conclusion
As a GT car, the 1984 Datsun 3000ZX we have here at Adventure Classics hits the mark as it did back then too. It will eat up vast distances of driving on highways or twisty-curvey roads too, in comfort, as what Datsun designed it to be in the first place.
