The fastest production Oldsmobile in 1968 was the 442 W-30 4-speed coupe that boasted its 400 cubic inch engine with 360 horsepower. We have a project 1968 Oldsmobile 442 that we believe is original and has a lot of potential to turn it into a stunning Olds muscle car here at Adventure Classics!
Engine & Drivetrain
Our 442 has an Olds donor engine that did not come with the car. This engine is a later model 80's 301 donor engine.
It is painted in blue and is sitting in a very authentic looking engine compartment with the valve covers, engine block, and heads painted blue, 4-barrel carb, new chrome open element air cleaner with original lid included, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, and everything else looking period correct.
It rides on newer aftermarket 5-spoke chrome mag wheels with black sidewall tires and has the sway-bars and H.D. rear end underneath on the chassis.
Interior
The original black bucket seat interior has an original floor console with the factory chrome automatic shifter, black carpet, factory dash and gauges, factory Olds steering wheel, AM/FM radio, safety belts, and air conditioning, but does need interior work done to complete it.
Exterior
Our 442 has a nice white paint exterior.accented with the nice black vinyl top, 442 emblems, clear glass and trim, front and rear chrome bumpers, with the Olds 442 chrome hood incerts.
