Car History

We have a gorgeous 1929 Ford Speedster here at Adventure Classics that has been restored and modified into a top-notch street rod with brilliant red paint, custom interior, and a well built small block Chevrolet engine and reworked suspension.

Engine & Drivetrain

The engine in our Ford is a Chevrolet 350 cubic inch, 4 bolt main, small block that has been rebuilt and bored to 355 cubic inches. It has a long list of performance parts added like the polished 671 B.D.S. blower with 43 tooth on blower + 37 tooth on motor, 3' drive belt, twin 650 cfm Holley Carbs, Holley electric fuel pump, steel crank, LTI Pink Rods, forged pistons, Perfect Circle 7-1's, cast heads with 84cc, hydraulic roller cam with 1.6 rocker arms, head work including big valves, and an M.S.D. Blaster coil.

The engine was also balanced and dynos out at 628 horsepower. It is backed up with HPC block hugger headers, chrome alternator, chrome water pump, polished aluminum pulleys, new heavy duty starter, electric fan on radiator, and new Flowmaster Mufflers with MEG stainless tips and power goes back to the 350 Turbo transmission with cooling unit and a 3500 R.P.M. stall converter.

Interior

Our completely refurnished interior features custom built bucket seats with an all leather interior done by Ron Lago with imported German carpets, custom dash with S&W gauges, a Billet Banjo steering wheel with leather wrap, Pioneer FM cassette player with 4 speakers, Lokar shifter, tilt steering with cruise control, full alarm system, C.B. radio, and a new black convertible top with chrome frame and painted bows.

Exterior

The restoration included modifying the original frame and it was partially boxed with the addition of heavy duty motor mounts, a Mustang Il front suspension with Disc spindles reversed, 9 inch Ford rear end with 4-bar rear suspension and new coil over shocks, a 22 gal custom made stainless gas tank plus the 10 gallon original tanks, and when done the frame was painted in a semi-gloss enamel.

It has a Gibbons Body painted in a striking shiny Porsche Red with clear coat Deltron II acrylic urethane paint and pin striping and lettering done in black and gold leaf by "Andel,” with tinted safety glass and etched side glass.
It rides on new black sidewall tires and aftermarket polished racing type wheels.

Conclusion

This beautiful 1929 Ford Speedster we have here at Adventure Classics is a complete custom build with superb craftsmanship from the built engine and suspension to the interior and bodywork.

It is a grand tourer, a great street rod, and a classic cruiser all wrapped up in one fine Ford.

Don't miss out on this one.
