This beautiful 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Street Rod Pickup we have here at Adventure Classics has a ton of money invested in the complete quality rebuild from top to bottom with substantial improvements in performance, comfort, and reliability and is a California vehicle with no rust at all!
Engine & Drivetrain
The powerplant is a 350 cubic inch small block Chevy featuring the look-alike polished fuel injection from that era that is made by FAST Engineering with an open-air cleaner to let in the oxygen. It has extras on it like the GM Serpentine belt drive & pulley system, air conditioning, polished valve covers, long tube headers, power steering, power disc brakes in front drum in rear, and performance spark plug wires.
The engine sits in a nice detailed engine compartment and is back by a GM 700-R4 automatic transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end for added strength with a 3:50 rear end gear ratio and coil over suspension for a superior ride, and new black wall tires on 5-spoke polished American mag wheels to complete the look.
Interior
The interior has also been upgraded with the original seat being recovered in gray cloth, new carpeting and matching floor mats, new headliner, new one-piece door glasses, wooden 3-spoke slotted sport steering wheel, Alpine Stereo radio system, a lighted LED Dakota Digital Dash Gauge display, and air conditioning.
Exterior
As stated earlier, the current owner said it was a California rust-free truck. The body is very straight with a beautiful blue paint job, great chrome bumpers and grill, as well as the bed was restored with an all new wood bed kit with steel strips.
