The Shelby Mustang is a high-performance variant of the original Ford Mustang which was built by Shelby American from 1965 to 1968, and from 1969 to 1970 by Ford.
Following the introduction of the fifth generation Ford Mustang in 2005, the Shelby nameplate was revived as a new high-performance model, this time designed and built by Ford.
We have an outstanding looking 2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 here at Adventure Classics that quite-frankly is one of the nastiest late-model Mustangs we've ever featured as dressed in sinister Black.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our Mustang Shelby GT500 is powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 engine producing 550 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. Combined with the six-speed manual transmission, the V-8 pushes the Mustang Shelby GT500 from a standstill to 60 mph in a (traction-limited) 4.1 seconds.
The quarter mile comes quickly too, with the Shelby GT500 taking 12.4 seconds at 115.8 mph. Coming to a dead stop from 60 mph takes the Mustang Shelby GT500 just 103 feet.
The Shelby GT500 is also at home in the twisties as it is at the drag strip thanks to its super sticky Goodyear Tires mounted on the killer Shelby SVT wheels.
When you pop the hood the supercharged engine looks super and the whole car looks as new as it should with only 4200 miles on it!
Interior
That black and red leather interior also looks as new including the Cobra embroidery on the power seats and their retro-looking, racing stripe adorned centers. Any Shelby Mustang is already loaded to the gills with standard equipment including the gauges that are retro-style as well, leather-wrapped racing steering wheel, cue ball topper on the six-speed shifter, A/C, and all power options.

And this Shelby is just as wicked looking on the outside as it is on the inside with the Shelby badging, black sinister paint, front and rear spoilers, blacked out grill, dual black racing mirrors, side-body ground effects, and the black mags and high performance blackwall radials with the huge brakes, makes this one great package.
