Car History
To celebrate the first quarter century of Corvettes, a completely re-designed 1978 Corvette body was rolled out with new “fastback” styling. Every Corvette this year came with special 25th anniversary badging.
Special “Anniversary Editions” included a unique two-tone paint job in Charcoal Silver and Silver Metallic and that is what the 1978 Corvette 25th Anniversary Edition with the optional L82 engine that we have here at Adventure Classics.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our Vette is powered by the 350 cubic inch optional L82 small block Chevrolet engine that runs smooth and powerful as well as the automatic transmission shifts excellent.
It has all the factory stock items such as the 4-barrel carb, aluminum intake, factory blue painted heads and engine block, factory cast iron exhaust headers that flow into the dual exhaust system that emit a great sound, factory stock air cleaner assembly with the fresh air scoop and chrome lid with a 25th Anniversary emblem, and the L82 black finned aluminum valve covers.
The Corvette rides on correct shiny factory cast aluminum mag wheels with BF Goodrich raised white letter performance tires and has both power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes.
Interior
The interior is very nice and shows well for its age. This 25th-Anniversary Corvette's silver paint scheme is complemented with a beautiful all red twin bucket seat interior with Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt & Telescopic Steering Column, Cruise Control, Glass T-Tops, Speedometer & Tachometer, Gauges in the dash, wood in the center dash and console, AM/FM Stereo Radio, red carpet and floor mats, and it all looks as original as the day it was built.
Exterior
Our Corvette has the 25th Anniversary distinctive two-tone silver paint treatment that was offered as a special 25th anniversary option. Upper body color is silver metallic with charcoal silver on lower body. Pin stripes accentuate fender upper profiles, wheel openings, front fender vents, hood and rear license cavity, and the hood also has the distinctive L82 emblem to let everyone know what's under it.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Corvette, the Silver Anniversary emblems are mounted on the nose.
