Car History

The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared in Chevrolet dealerships in September 1966 for the 1967 model year on a brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and had almost 80 factory and 40 dealer options, including three main packages that were available, the RS, the SS and the Z/28.

We have a sinister looking triple-black 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Tribute here at Adventure Classics that has been thru a complete restoration now runs and drives better than it did in the late 60's.

It even has the rare Rally Sport Option car with the Hide-Away Head Light package and has a potent big block engine to boot.

Engine & Drivetrain

Ours is badged as a 396 on the air cleaner but it's actually a 454 cubic inch V8 living under the hood. It looks right wearing Chevy Orange paint, chrome valve covers, open element air cleaner, cowl induction hood, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, long-tube headers, dual exhaust system, Power Steering and Power Brakes, and the engine sits in a very clean, correct, factory look engine compartment with factory correct chalk marks and decals as it looked as it was new.

It is backed by a Muncie 4-speed transmission and a Positraction 12-bolt rear end with Traction bars and the chassis that looks as clean as the rest of the Camaro.

The upgraded suspension has a dual exhaust system exiting out the rear and it rides on factory Chevrolet Rallye Wheels with chrome trim rings and center caps and raised white-letter BF Goodrich performance tires that complete the look.
Interior

Our 1967 Camaro has an awesome factory look with its factory correct black bucket seat interior with a center console and chrome shifter, correct black door panels, headliner, and carpeting to have a fresh and correct OEM appearance.

The black bucket seat interior is the only choice with the sinister black paint job and it's just as upscale-looking as the bodywork and has a dash full of crisp, clear gauges and an auxiliary clock on the console with a 4-speed manual gearbox that uses a Hurst shifter with a white cue ball knob.

It also has the three-spoke factory Chevrolet RS sport steering wheel, factory seatbelts, and pushbutton radio system and the trunk wears correct spatter-finish paint and trunk mat to complete the high-quality finished look.

Exterior

Sinister triple black sure looks right on our 1967 with the RS/SS front end housing the hide-away headlights, cowl induction hood, rear spoiler, and the white Bumblebee front stripe adds to the overall stealthy look, especially with the bright chrome bumpers.

Of course, the blacked-out Rally Sport grille with hidden headlights is an icon of the first generation Camaros. Our Camaro is one that everyone will love, and you will love it even more with all the performance that the big block under the hood and the rest of the replaced running gear to back up the looks.

Conclusion

This sinister looking triple-black 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Tribute we have here at Adventure Classics looks great, sounds great, and feels great, and has the right look.

It will be hard for you to find one 1967 Camaro as nice as this one.
