Ford Motor Company has millions of trucks, but you will be hard pressed to find a truck like this 2000 FORD "BUCCANEER TAILGATER" F150 we have here at Adventure Classics.
It has all the standard features of a standard F150 XL truck, but that is where the similarities end.
Engine & Drivetrain
The “Tailgater” is powered by a 4.2L V-6 Engine with 205 @ 4,950 rpm horsepower and 255 @ 3,700 rpm ft-lb of Torque with a 5-speed manual w/OD Transmission feeding back to the rear wheel drive. Our F150 has the heavier frame, larger brakes, higher-capacity wheels and 8,800 pounds towing capability.
But, this F150 has been made into a Party Truck and a Buccaneer Tailgater Truck with the addition of a flat bed with all kind of
"party" features like the outside marine radio and speakers, backboard lighting, Coke cooler, "Treasure" box with a barbecue inside it, swixel tractor seats, storage unit, Buccaneer flags, table and umbrella, picnic basket, and even a fire-extinguisher for when things get “too hot!” lol
Interior
The interior of our F150 has a comfortable 40/60 front seat and with red over black seat covers and a fold down console, plus a lot of features including tan dash and side panels, factory gauges, AM/FM stereo, seek-scan Radio, air conditioning, tinted glass, power windows and locks, and more.
Exterior
You can't miss our “Tailgater” F150 because it is painted in bright red and has the familiar Red Flag with the skull and crossed swords symbol of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the doors!
It rides on new tires with the factory chrome wheels and has running boards, tinted glass, and bed rails.
And if you are behind it you will see the word “Tailgater” painted in bright red too on the back wooden flat bed bumper so there is no doubt where the party starts, just follow it.
