Car History

1967 Pontiac GP

We have a great looking 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix in stunning aqua here at Adventure Classics. It is set off with a contrasting white top and aqua interior and polished mag wheels.

First introduced as part of Pontiac's full-size car model offering for the 1962 model year, the Grand Prix name was also applied to cars in the personal luxury car market segment and the mid-size car offering from the 2nd generation to the 5th generation for the sedan and from the 2nd generation to the 6th generation from the coupe.

Engine & Drivetrain

Under the hood, it has a rebuilt 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 engine that has a later more modern EZ-EFI Self Tuning Fuel Injection System. It still retains much originality with the engine block, intake, and valve covers covered in Pontiac blue paint, with features like the ram air cleaner system, all new mufflers and Aluminized Exhaust with Chrome tips and Cross Over dual exhausts, air conditioning, PS, PB, air conditioning, and a new Aluminum Radiator.

It has a rebuilt suspension with new brakes, lowered springs, rear air shocks with a built in pump in the trunk & control with a gauge below the left side of the dash, Power Front Disc Brake Conversion / Drum rear brakes, and a Turbo Hydro-Matic Transmission.

The stance looks great with the polished mag wheels on fat black wall performance tires.

Interior

Inside of our aqua GP is very original looking aqua pair of reupholstered bucket seats with the interior re-carpeted, matching floor mats, re-upholstered headliner and sun visors, the original looking dash instrument panel with the factory gauges and wood grain trim , a custom AM/FM Stereo with front & rear speakers, and matching door panels with wood grain panel trim.

It has a full-length center console that has the floor mounted automatic shifter and the computer for the fuel injection. The trunk is fully carpeted as well.

Exterior

The aqua paint shines well over the sheet metal with rounded but even more pronounced Coke bottle styling that highlighted these 1967 Grand Prix's. Also new to the GP were concealed headlights with horizontal mounting, a concealed windshield wiper and ventless front windows. Out back are louvered taillights similar to those found on the GTO.

The white vinyl top is still in a like new condition and goes well with the paint and those rear wheel covers look super.

Conclusion

The 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix we have at Adventure Classics is a classic big car that is great to cruise in and a real classic car with a lot of power and style.

It is a mostly original car with upgrades that make it a special cruiser. You just don't find Great Cruisers in this nice of condition anymore.
