1959 Mercury Monterey

Car History

We have a very rare 1959 Mercury Monterey here at Adventure Classics that was the base model for 1959. Production was only a few thousand with very few left in existence.

List price was only $2547 back then for this big cruiser. The shipping weight was only 3790 pounds.

Engine & Drivetrain

Under the hood you will find the factory "Y Block" 312 cubic inch engine with 210 horsepower and an automatic transmission, factory correct original blue air cleaner, chrome valve covers (with the original blue ones in the trunk), and Power Steering,

It is painted the original factory blue and everything in the factory looking stock engine compartment looks as it should.

Interior

The interior looks all original with its light green painted dash housing the original gauges, original green steering wheel, all fantastic chrome and stainless, the factory cloth front and rear seats, door panels and headliner, are all like they were back in 1959.

Exterior

Our Merc has a very nice light beige paint job that flows over the concave rocket shaped scallops outlined by chrome moldings that highlight the car's side treatment. They were further decorated with three vertical chrome bands near the tail light ends.

The bumpers have great chrome, trim, stainless, and glass as well as this 1959 is a virtual rust free example and the undercarriage is factory original.

All models used identical stylish finned wheel covers and came with 14 inch wheels and thin white wall tires as ours does. It also has the Original Owners Keys and the Owner's Manual too.
