1966 Ford Ranchero
Car History
The Ford Ranchero was a coupe utility that was produced by Ford between 1957 and 1979. Unlike a standard pickup truck, the Ranchero was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body.
The original Ranchero sold well enough to spawn a competitor from General Motors in 1959, the Chevrolet El Camino.
We have a completely redone 1966 Ford Ranchero here at Adventure Classics that has a 289 cubic inch V8 engine with a 4-barrell, air conditioning, a complete custom interior and more.
Engine & Drivetrain
Open the hood and you'll find a Ford 289 cubic inch V8 engine that looks nice in the well detailed and painted engine compartment.
It has red and polished aluminum finned valve covers, 4-barrell carb with a chrome open-element air cleaner, performance ignition and spark plug wires, aluminum radiator, no power steering but a power steering unit goes with the sale, power brakes, air conditioning, and an automatic transmission.
It has a great sound to it and rides on 17" custom billet wheels with blackwall tires to give it the right look and stance.
Interior
The interior of this 1966 Ranchero is adorned with a complete full custom red and grey interior featuring modern two-tone power bucket seats and matching door panels, with a full color matching center console holding the floor shifter and accessory gauges, tilt steering wheel column with a two-tone red/black steering wheel, power windows, power locks, and black carpeting with grey floor mats.
The perfect looking factory red dash has all the factory gauges and controls with the newer aftermarket AM/FM stereo radio system installed in the dash and you and your passenger will appreciate the air conditioning on those hot summer nights.
Exterior
A beautiful red paint job adorns the exterior of the Ranchero accented by shiny chrome bumpers, grille, door handles, window trim, headlight surrounds, and includes a black bedliner inside the trunk.
Conclusion
This 1966 Ford Ranchero we have here at Adventure Classics is a great year for the Ranchero and this body style didn't last for long making them pretty rare too!
This is a sharp re-done Ranchero with plenty of power and looks great with a great presentation for any cruises or car shows.
