1970 Gold Pontiac GTO
Car History
Few cars are as popular as the Pontiac GTO, and if you're looking for a frame-on restored one, we have a 1970 Granada Gold Pontiac GTO hardtop here at Adventure Classics.
It has everything you'd want from its original YS coded 400 cubic inch V8, GM 400 Turbo transmission , factory A/C, and is a true 242 (all 1970 GTOs had to have the 242 in the vin code) GTO.
Engine & Drivetrain
Under that twin scoops on the hood of our GTO sits I-snorkel Our GTO retains the born with original numbers matching 400 cubic inch engine with the kind of performance you'd expect from the GTO.
It looks as new with the correct Pontiac blue paint on the engine block, factory chrome air cleaner and valve covers, matching Rochester Quadra Jet 4-barrel carb, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, and is backed by a 3-speed GM Turbo Hydramatic transmission.
The stance is perfect with it riding on Pontiac Rally II wheels and raised white letter Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires.
Interior
The Pontiac has a black high back bucket seat interior with options like factory A/C, plus a relatively rare AM/FM radio that still works. An engine-turned dash is a Pontiac trademark and the three-spoke steering wheel is also there.
The floor houses a factory console and shifter, black carpet, and GTO floor mats too.
Exterior
Our GTO has had a repaint in the original 58 code Granada Gold paint that looks very nice and shiny on its bodywork and the famous Endura front bumper which was a pretty big deal in 1970 and gives a uniquely Pontiac look.
The Ram Air hood was always a warning sign that this GTO meant business with the rear wing that makes it look even more sinister.
It has the original correct GTO emblems and badges and the bright chrome rear bumper is in excellent condition.
Conclusion
The 1970 Granada Gold GTO we have at Adventure Classics has the great one looks, lots of power and originality, and wears the legendary GTO nameplate. What more could you want in a muscle car?
