1970 Plymouth Road Runner

Car History

Road Runners were meant to be great muscle cars that were built by Plymouth to sell as a value based car with plain interior, flashy paint, and a big V8 engine under the hood.

What we have here at Adventure Classic for sale is a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner that gives you all of the above features.

Engine & Drivetrain

It's always great to see an engine bay filled with big block power and this one is no exception. Ours is missing the Data Plate so we know which motor it came with.

Now we do know it has a 440 cubic inch big block with the iconic Six-Pack carb setup as well as the functional grabber hood and ram-air air cleaner setup.

The engine looks and runs terrific as the restoration and building of this car and engine took thousands of dollars as you can see with all of the dress-up parts on it like the body-colored finned Mopar valve covers, performance plumbing, long tube headers that add power and exhales out of the dual exhaust system, modified ignition, and much more all sitting in the Plum Crazy painted engine compartment.

Our Plymouth is a fine cruiser thanks to the overdrive system put on the back of the 4-speed manual transmission which you can control with the button on the Pistol-Grip shifter as it powers the Dana rear end, and power steering.

Interior

The black interior of ours has been totally redone with its twin bucket seats, matching door panels, headliner, black dash with the factory gauges, aftermarket stereo radio system, three-spoke factory sport steering wheel, black carpet and Road Runner Logo floor mats, Pistol Grip performance shifter, and more.

Exterior

Our 1970 is painted in the attention getting “Plum Crazy” paint with the Road Runner side decals, rear black painted wing, side scoops, “440 Six Pack” Air Grabber hood with the functional scoop, great body panels, glass, and chrome bumpers front and rear.

It rides super on the polished custom racing mag wheels and B.F. Goodrich Radial TA performance tires.

Conclusion

The 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner we have here at Adventure Classic for sale is a great street driver and performance car, at a fraction of the price normally paid for a true Road Runner.

But it still gets the same looks and attention and performance with that great 440 Six-Pack engine.
