Car History

The 1955 Chevrolet is considered a huge turning point for Chevrolet and has become an icon of the 1950's Chevrolets.

The '55 Chevy was the first successful Chevrolet with an optional V8 engine. The new 265-cubic-inch overhead valve V8 was designed to be smaller, lighter, and more powerful than previous V8s in the auto industry.

We have a highly restored 1955 Chevy Rest Mod here at Adventure Classics that has had a no-expense spared complete restoration that cost over $80k to build.

Engine & Drivetrain

When you pop the hood you will see this is no 265 cubic inch engine anymore, you will now see a brand new Chevrolet Corvette LS3 Crate Engine installed in the very nice clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment.

The stout LS3 Chevy engine features Corvette Fuel Injection, fuel rail covers, ram air cold air induction system with the open element air cleaner, dual exhaust, air conditioning, performance radiator, power steering and brakes, and much, much more.

The engine pushes back the horsepower to the brand 4L80E automatic transmission and then to the brand new 9” Ford rear end and it rolls on 17x7 and 17x8 Foose custom 5 spoke polished mag wheels, blackwall radial performance tires, and 4-wheel disc brakes, making the ride great, fast, and safe.

Interior

Because every nut and bolt on the entire car has been redone or upgraded you can see the workmanship both outside and inside. The accommodations on the interior include the handsome bench-seat interior featuring the two-tone aqua and white cloth bench seat and rear seat, the stock painted steering wheel with a billet tilt-column, Lo-Car floor shifter, and Vintage Air.

A modern AM/FM Bluetooth radio fits the factory holes and sounds great. The painted stock dash with stainless trim has updated gauges to monitor the engine and trans, with all the original style controls.

Exterior

This Chevrolet has a great body design with the super blue/white paint job on its smooth and straight panels, trunk, and hood, with great glass all the way around including the windshield.

It is restored and is stunning! It looks super with the paint combo, matching interior, chrome bumpers, and chrome tips on the dual exhaust.

Conclusion

This highly restored 1955 Chevy Rest Mod here at Adventure Classics, is without a doubt, one of the best 1955 Chevys on the planet!

No expense was spared to build this car and you could eat off any part of it. And we have here at Adventure Classics.
