1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
Car History
We have a 1966 Corvette Coupe here at Adventure Classics that is a builder special that will be in need of some body work and will need to be restored to bring her back to her glory.
It does have good carpeting, great seats, and is an optional headrest Corvette. The Data Plate shows it to have been built on February 15th 1966 and was produced in St. Louis.
Engine & Drivetrain
Ours has a replacement small block Chevrolet engine that is painted the correct factory orange on the block, intake, and valve covers, with a 4-barrel carburetor, factory Rams Head exhaust manifolds and factory shrouded side pipes, chrome open air cleaner, flex fan, inline fuel filter, HEI type distributor, power brakes, and backed by the 4-speed manual transmission.
These 1966 Corvettes not only had great straight line performance but were equally at home handling curves as our Corvette does well with its period look and has been fitted with Gold Stripe tires on Chevrolet Rallye Wheels with the chrome center caps and trim rings.
Interior
The interior looks great with its factory correct looking black vinyl interior with twin bucket seats that are comfortable as well as stylish with the rare-option headrests. The twin-cockpit design has all the factory gauges, a Chevrolet 3-spoke steering wheel, black carpet, dash pad, radio, and door panels, and a center console housing the chrome shifter and ball of that 4-speed manual transmission.
Exterior
As we said earlier the Corvette needs a restoration although it is in Driver Condition and painted in a Nassau blue exterior shade with the 1966 big block hood.
Our Corvette has the stunning Sting Ray bodywork with the subtly bulging fenders, good chrome, iconic side vents, bright bumpers, drivers side chrome mirror, factory trim and badging.
Conclusion
If a C2 has been on your automotive wish list, and you want an affordable one to restore, then don't miss the chance to put this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette we have here at Adventure Classics in your garage today!
