1951 Ford F-100 Resto-Mod
Car History
The first-generation of the Ford F-Series trucks was produced by Ford from the 1948 to the 1952 model years. The introduction of the F-Series marked the divergence of Ford car and truck design, developing a chassis intended specifically for truck use.
This 1951 Ford F100 we have here at Adventure Classics is a hot rod truck that still has original good looks with a cool stance, upgraded suspension, V8 power, to make it a street-ready classic.
Engine & Drivetrain
When you pop the hood you know you are seeing a labor of love. It does not have the original Ford powerplant but a much more powerful TPI 350 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8 believed to be sourced out of a Corvette or a Camaro Z28.
It has a polished look to it with a custom flamed TPI cover, aluminum intake, black valve covers, tube headers, performance spark plug wires, power steering, power brakes, and all sitting in a pretty painted, detailed, and very clean engine compartment.
This is a strong-running motor with a large aluminum radiator to help keep this engine running cool. It is backed by an automatic transmission for optimal performance and driving experience.
Add in fat black wall performance tires on classy 5-spoke custom mag wheels, redone coil-over shock suspension, and you have a powerful package that gives you a mix of vintage and performance.
Interior
Ours has a great tan twin bucket seat interior as well as door panels that have been custom made to match, and the headliner looks excellent. So it is quite a comfy total setup but it too has been upgraded with a cool painted dash housing the performance white-face gauges, chrome billet steering wheel column with the cherry wood steering wheel, tan carpet, and controls for all the systems including the air conditioning and heat.
Exterior
Our first-gen 1951 Ford F-100 truck has a true vintage style that is always fashionable. The aqua paint looks great on the hood, rounded cab, and rolled bed sides are all part of this timeless classic appearance.
There is even a real wood panel section in the truck bed floor in vintage style with the look and raked stance giving it just the right street looks and appeal.
Conclusion
The 1951 Ford F100 hot rod truck we have here at Adventure Classics could be your dream street machine you have been waiting for.
