Car History

The restored 1965 White Mustang Convertible with the gorgeous red bucket seat interior we have here at Adventure Classics is a rare 1st generation 1965 with the iconic pony car styling it is famous for.

It has the long hood and short deck that proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition including the Camaro, Firebird, Cougar and others in the sixties.

Engine & Drivetrain

Our Mustang has the C Code engine per the Vin #5F08C354230 which was a 289 cubic inch with a 2-barrel carb. This is a real deal “C” code Mustang. That means it left the factory with this 289 V8 rated at 200 horsepower.

It has the correct factory shade of gold painted air cleaner assembly and valve covers with the block and factory intake painted black. It also looks very original with all the correct hoses and wires, accessories, and all sitting in a factory correct engine compartment all backed up by an automatic transmission.

Our Mustang has a dual exhaust with twin chrome exhaust tips exiting the rear and sounds great with a rumble to know it's a V8 car. The Cruise-O-Matic transmission shifter is on the floor and sends the power to the Ford rear end. This car runs and drives great and is ready to cruise and show.

Interior

Our 1965 has a refreshed interior that includes correct red seat covers stretched over factory bucket seats in front and matching rear seat, red carpet and black floor mats, red door panels and dash with all the correct factory gauges and speedometer, radio, factory seat belts, a glove box light, padded dashboard, and three-spoke chrome and red steering wheel.

It has a great black convertible top, which stows under a red boot, and a rare smaller T-handle topping off the automatic transmission shifter.

Exterior

The 1965 White paint on our Mustang is nice and is complimented by all good chrome, 289 and Mustang emblems, factory Sport chrome mag wheels with redline stripe tires, and great chrome bumpers.

Conclusion

This 1965 White Mustang Convertible we have here at Adventure Classics is a great way to cruise up and down the coast with the wind in your hair and the top down.

It has the classic looks you have been wanting and is a super dependable Mustang with a clean under carriage and one stunning color combination that you won't see on the road too often.
