Performance is a sports car pedigree and that has always been so in Corvettes. A true sports car must handle with precision and corner with positive control, it must withstand long periods at high rpm without a whimper.
This Corvette is one of the best in the world ever customer built frame/ chassis by Robert Kessings; an enviable ratio of power to weight. We have a 1958 Corvette Resto-Mod here at Adventure Classics that is all these things and more. It is a must see as it is a no-expense spared custom one off build with hundreds of man hours dedicated to this Corvette.
Engine & Drivetrain
The heart of our 1958 beats to the tune of a new 2018 Corvette LT1 5.7 OHV 350 cubic inch V-8 with Multi-Port Fuel Injection that was factory rated with horsepower of 455 HP @ 6,000 RPM and torque at 460 lb-ft @ 4,600 rpm.
It has been warmed over some with a polished ram air system, exhaust headers heading out to the quad tailpipes at the rear, a Speartech wiring harness with computer, a fuel tank with pump and sending unit with Corvette filter and regulator, Corvette custom engine cover, and backed by a Tremec 6-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch.
The custom designed chassis is built on a 1994 C4 suspension with Corvette power rack and pinion, fiberglass leaf spring, front and rear, Electric emergency brake, Electric power brakes, Drilled and slotted rotor, Stainless steel brake lines, a 3.73 H.D. Corvette rear, Vintage Air, and a polished DeWitt aluminum radiator.
Interior
A flawless two-tone grey/red leather interior starts with the custom Wise Guys bucket seats, leather upholstery on the door panels and dash, red leather steering wheel and Flaming River steering column, a plethora of Dakota digital gauges, Power windows, Power hood opener, custom red center console with Navigation in the upper center console, red leather boot on the shifter and white ball, and that famous waterfall in gleaming chrome between the seats.
Exterior
It has a stunning color combo of dark and light grey metallic that shines and looks great from all angles. Fit and finish are excellent throughout as is expected on this level of a Corvette, with tight door gaps and smooth panels and those iconic side coves that really makes this year Corvette special.
1958 models have those hood louvers, front toothy grills, and trunk trim that were exclusive to this year and it makes this year Corvette unique and desirable.
